You can purchase tickets on Eventbrite here:
http://technicallymusic.eventbrite.com/
Since this is such a diverse and widespread event, ticket prices will fluctuate dependent on a few different factors. These factors are:
- Time of purchase – The earlier you commit, the more you save.
- Demographic – Showcasing bands will pay less than tech heads, etc.
- Individual Events – An attendee does not need to attend the talks and the music performances. They also don’t need to attend all performances. Individual passes to each participating venue will be available as well.
- Days – Only in town for one day? Find one day of talks more interesting than another? Attendees will be able to purchase all-day passes individually.
Here are the suggested ticket prices:
- Showcasing artists: In order to be chosen to showcase, an artist must submit their CD, online links, and press kit (or EPK) to us, along with the registration fee. This fee will equal $15 and will include one full-pass to the entire event no matter what. If showcasing, the band will be given a pass for each band member and +1 for manager / roadie. If declined, only one pass will be given and all other band members would be forced to purchase a ticket at the most discounted price offered (if tickets are still available at that time). Note that showcasing artists and all artist applications will not be allowed in to see the headlining acts. Additional tickets must be purchased for those performances.
- Full event passes: Full three-day access to all events will cost a total of $200 and go up incrementally with time from there. This will include complete access to all talks, events, headlining performances, etc.
The suggested price increments will be as follows:
- April 1 – December 31, 2011: Very early bird special = $100
**** All Headliners / speakers announced by the end of July. ****
- January 1 – February 1: Early Adopters = $300
- February 1 – March 1 = $325
- March 1 – April 1 = $350
- April 1 – May 1 = $375
- Day of event(s) = $400
Day Passes: Day passes will be available for those that are only able to attend one day of events. These passes will grant access to all of the day’s events, including the headlining performance and keynote presentations.
The suggested ticket price for one-day is:
- April 1 – December 31, 2011 = $60
- January 1 – March 1 = $75
- Day of event = $100
Headlining performance tickets:
- Each of the headlining performances will be available for purchase through the participating venue’s box office and Ticketmaster locations, as well as through the event website. These tickets can be purchased individually at the TBD price. We are shooting for no more than $30 for each of these performances. Note that all headlining acts will most likely come in packages with opening acts as well.
Individual venue tickets:
- All of the band showcases will be open to the public. It will be up to the venues to allow outside access inside their venues (based on capacity and tickets sold before day of event). We are suggested these venues offer entrance for $10 each night. We will have event staff members on site at each venue to monitor and keep track of all of the numbers.
Conference tickets (Just the speakers):
- We realize that not every tech geek is going to want to pay for a ticket that encompasses live music that they don’t care about at all. Because of this, we have lowered the prices to cater just to these attendees.
- Suggested ticket prices are the following:
- April 1 – December 31, 2011: Very early bird special = $100
- January 1 – February 1: Still Pretty Early bird special = $120
- February 1 – March 1: Early Bird Special = $130
**** All Headliners / speakers announced by the end of November 2010. ****
- July 1 – December 31, 2011: Early Adopters = $140
- January 1 – February 1 = $150
- February 1 – March 1 = $160
- March 1 – April 1 = $175
- Day of event(s) = $200
